Behavior of Strengthened RC Columns with CFRP under Biaxial Bending

In this work, the behavior of reinforced concrete columns under biaxial bending is studied. This work aims at studying strengthening by using carbon fiber polymer (CFRP). The experimental includes investigation eight (150*150*500mm) tested several load conditions. Variables considered in test program include; effect eccentricity and longitudinal reinforcement (Ø12mm or Ø6mm). Test results are discussed based on – lateral deflection behavior, –longitudinal ultimate failure modes. CFRP permits a complete change mode .The case more pronounced for strengthened than unconfined columns.
